My Mission
With a strong foundation in both technical precision and leadership development, my mission is to guide professionals as they grow in their careers. I believe that sharing knowledge not only empowers others but also drives industry-wide innovation and continuous improvement.

Although I initially preferred technical work and had little desire to lead teams, I was unexpectedly appointed as a supervisor. That pivotal moment revealed areas for personal growth. To bridge the gap, I pursued a Higher National Diploma in Management Practice — an experience that transformed my understanding of leadership. Since then, I’ve discovered that the ability to connect practical expertise with effective people management is a powerful and often rare combination.

Today, I offer that expertise through a structured Leadership Training Module, created specifically to support newly appointed leaders. This training provides a solid foundation to help individuals adapt to leadership roles with insight, confidence, and competence.

Background

I bring over 20 years of supervisory experience from Transtel, a division of the former South African Transport Services. Transtel’s core responsibility was to ensure the safe operation of trains via a robust telephone communication system — a mission-critical function requiring precision, responsibility, and absolute reliability.

Following my graduation with a Diploma in Communication Electronics, I joined Volkswagen of South Africa as a Quality Engineer, focusing on the automotive electrical system. My responsibilities included rigorous laboratory testing of components and collaborating closely with suppliers to uphold the highest quality standards. This role allowed me to develop deep technical expertise in automotive electronics, and I became recognised as a specialist in this field.

In both of these careers, I was promoted to supervisory roles and earned a reputation as a dependable source of knowledge and a strong example of practical, values-based leadership.

What I Contribute

Since my retirement in 2013, I’ve continued to serve as a Quality Consultant with WSQM, working across various manufacturing environments.

A recurring theme I’ve encountered is that implementation is challenging, but sustaining quality systems is an even greater hurdle for most organisations. My focus is to close this gap by offering practical, results-driven support.

As a consultant, I’ve managed multiple projects including the implementation of:
